hit raccoon

Hi: Just wanted to vent a bit. I hit a raccoon on a dark and stormy night, May 8. The car has been in the shop since then, and the work hasn't been started yet (it's now May 31). I'm at my wit's end. They gave me a Ford Fusion Hybrid, and the tire kept going flat, so then they gave me a huge Nissan Rogue. I miss my M235i. Jack

I'm sure the raccoon would happily trade places with you and drive the Nissan.

If you hit it just right, I believe your car comes away with a stripe.

I'm having so much trouble with the insurance company and the shop, I wish it had been a skunk.

You prefer a white stripe to a black stripe on grey?

Congrats!! The only legal way to kill one of those over-sized rats in the Province of Ontario.
I had a family of them in my attic a few years back and cost me a ton of time and money to get rid of the vermin..
Thanks for your contribution.

Man, you'all are brutal! I have been sitting here at the airport laughing my a** off; people are looking at me a bit oddly...

Good luck niki; hopefully your insurance carrier will get you sorted out soon!

Poochie, I expect you have a photo for all occasions. Very well done!

The holdup is that the shop and the insurance adjusters both blame each other. There is cosmetic damage, but also mechanical damage. The front plastic piece is shot, the belly pans are gone, the intercooler is broken. Must have been a heavy raccoon. And, yes, I had a mommy who laid her eggs in my attic every year until I rigged up an electric shocker, and they kill my hens, so I am not a fan.

Your Canadian raccoons are clearly more talented than ours.

I hit one too on the highway couple of years ago. $6k worth of damage 😫. Had to call road assistance...it hit the drivers side intercooler and started to leak coolant...Damage $$$ goes up quickly on those cars.

Good luck with your repair
