Drivetrain error on dash

Hi All,
I'm getting the following error message on the dash (see attached pic) of my 2016 M235i xDrive:
"Drivetrain: Vehicle cannot be restarted". However, the vehicle starts fine and can be driven without any issues.
On scanning with OBD Fusion (don't have bimmerlink or Carly), it's showing the following 2 error codes:
  • P10E2
    P10F5

Appreciate any insights and help in clearing these error codes!

They are both Valvetronic (Variable valve lift) failure codes:

P10E2 BMW Valvetronic Sensors Supply Voltage Circuit Electrical
P10F5 BMW Valvetronic Control Phase V Circuit Open Bank 1

Probably the control motor has failed:

The car will still operate using the throttle plate only, without variable induction capability.

Any idea what it should cost to replace the valvetronic motor?

The motor is a few hundred, but the labour will likely be more, as quite a lot of the components on and around the valve cover have to come off and I believe the injectors need to be removed, total will probably be in the $1000 to $1500 range if it is the motor that has failed.

I would take it to a specialist for a quote. It could also be damaged wiring to the motor or associated sensors, but the Valvetronic motor failure isn’t unusual on the N55 engine.
