M240i staggered summers fitment

What would be the max size tire I can comfortably mount on these rims with stock suspension and with at least 40 sidewall all around?
Front - 8.5x18, ET35 (5x120)
Rear - 9.5x18, ET45 (5x120)

I blew out my last summer so I want to up my sidewall thickness as much as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Ps I'd like 235/45 f 255/40 r

Some people claim you can run 235F / 265R with wheels of your offset. The rear may have rubbing on the fenders though. You'll want 40 sidewall on the fronts and 35 on the rears. Why do you want 45F/40R? Stock was 40/35 on 18's.

Here... Use this to find a tire that will match overall diameter and width but have a different sidewall...

I think you'll be better off dropping to a 17" wheel to run big sidewalls. For those widths with a 40 profile you'd have a bigger diameter wheel by about an inch.
