Fender to body panel seal

Has anyone installed these on their 228i , supposedly helps with engine/road/tire noise

There is a long thread on this from a year or two ago. The short answer is, yes, several have installed these, me among them. BMW launched them for a reason, although in later years, appear to have dealt with the issue differently and dropped them.

Yes, it does make a difference in those noises (not wind noise). I noticed it immediately. But, some here contended they did not notice any difference. For the very low cost of stuffing those in, it makes sense to me to try them. I find them beneficial.

I wasn't sure what to expect, so my dealer did them...in less than 10 minutes waiting time. Seems fairly straightforward....literally stuffed into position, but I did not do them firsthand.

As I recall, they were very easy to install once you get them right side up and identify the left from the right. It's just a matter of stuffing them in - friction fit.

I bought them from the dealer after taking ownership of my car. I bought my car new, factory ordered, and was sad to learn that they didn't include it with the car. Not sure why either but I ordered the foam seal right away and received them in about a week after. Didn't do enough driving of my car without them to really tell the difference in noise.

Bought the set from the dealer and installed them myself( takes a little patience )
It seems to have helped with sound a bit
