Summer Tires?
2017 230 RWD Stick shift with 45,000 miles. DD only. Love this car!
I replaced two of the Pirelli run flats at 35,000 miles with Bridgestone DWS 06 all season. Did not notice much difference, guess I'm just not a princess. Then replaced the other two with Sotozero 3 allseason at 40.000 miles, just before winter. These are much better in snow but seem just fine on dry pavement. My plan was to get another pair of Bridgestones for summer but the Soto's seem fine. So why would I change them? |

if there's only 5k miles in difference between the pairs, and you are happy with the grip/handling/safety I wouldn't do anything until one of the pairs start to wear down much more than the other, or just watch to see if they are wearing evenly.
Once you hit about 25k miles on these tires (or have low treadlife whichever is sooner) you can replace all 4 with a single type. Seth |
