Best suspension setup for under $2k
Hey all, recently purchased a '14 M235i and have a front strut on the way out from a wicked pothole. Looking to kill two birds with one stone by upgrading the entire suspension rather than replace with OEM parts.
For reference, my M Roadster had TCK DAs and I LOVED them, but I'm not willing to spend $3k+ on a solution for this car. Something that will give me decent ride quality for daily driving but also be able to get down on the occasional track/autox day. Interested to see what suggestions and experiences everyone has with coilovers vs. aftermarket struts/springs. TIA! |

Bump - shopping now for different systems and it appears I'm pretty limited at this price point. It's either sub-$1k options or KW/ST.

I'd vote, KW or Bilstein PSS/PSS10. Both have excellent corrosion resistance if your car will see salt/snow. I think there is also the Sachs performance coilover kit, but I don't have experience with those. I really like the PSS on my MK6 GTI. They have held up great.

Have you looked into Fortune Auto? Seems like solid coils (good reviews for e8X/e9X) with linear springs and camber plates for under $1500.
I've considered these myself but am torn between keeping EDC and going with Bilsteins + Swift Springs or going with full coilovers like these. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-fortune-...pdk=AQEBAQEHCg

Koni Yellows with some decent sport springs can be a good option.
