M235i and Injen intake

Has anyone had any success using an Injen intake on their M235i without having a check engine light repeatedly coming on? I recently purchased a used M235i and installed a new Injen intake. The CEL light came on after a few drives. I cleaned the MAF sensor and reset the CEL only to have the light return after a couple more drives.

I had a Camaro SS and I know that car needed to have the tune modified to use a Cold Air Intake. Possibly the M235i needs a tune? If so, any good suggestions? This is my first turbo equipped BMW.

Thanks for your help! Doug

My Injen intake still set codes with bm3. I switched to cts and haven't had a problem since.

the success rate is no lower than 90%, reading the forums you get the impression that everyone is getting a CEL

M235i and Injen intake

Well. After resetting the CEL for the second time, I hope the problem has been solved. I have checked out Bootmod3. Please someone tell me what CTS is. Any vendors who have a better idea? I am open to suggestions.
Thanks. Doug

Cts makes a intake with a special hexagon adapter thing where the MAF sensor goes to mimick the stock intakes airflow over the sensor, did the trick for me.

Garage List
I've had the Injen installed for about 3 weeks and have had probably 4 CELs come up. Going to reinstall the stock airbox today

I will probably remove the Injen as well. Doesn't look like that I will get any help from Bimmerworld or Injen. Be aware that this intake probably needs a tune to prevent a CEL from lighting up on your dash.
