Picking up gran tourer

Hi all im picking up a brand new 218 sport gran tourer on monday.

I will admit i fell in love with it in the showroom.

One thing ive started getting worried about with picking it up is how am I going to get on with the electronic parking brake as i live in quite a hillie area lots of steep hill starts.

I dont think the 2 series auto releases on the throttle does it?

How do you all get on with it it will be my first electric parking break

Thanks

We don't get the gran tourer here in the united states, but from what I've seen with other cars, you'll have either some kind of roll back mitigation or a two mode parking brake that releases automatically as you pull off.

We have the 218i manual Active Tourer with the electric hand brake and it does have an automatic auto hold for those occasions you need to pull away on an incline. It was very easy to get used to and is just 2nd nature now.

Good luck with the new car.
