Top strip of windshield tinted. Yes or No? Any pics?
I want to tint the top of the windshield as most cars have it except the 2er doesn't. I'm assuming its because the car is already low and they don't want to obstruct the view for taller drivers?
I mainly want to do this to conceal a dashcam (My previous car got broken into to so they can steal a 30 dollar dashcam - scum! ) Anyway, does any one who had done this have any pictures? I found one here of EB color but wondering if anyone has one on Alpine White. Plan is to tint 20s rear window and back. Possibly 50s in the front. and maybe 35% top windshield strip. The problem is that when this comes from factory the top strip (sometimes blue but mostly black tint) is designed so that it fades from top to bottom. If I have the strip installed I'm scared its going to look odd. Any thoughts? Pics? Thanks Roman |

Not a fan of the look but it is personal preference. I tinted the whole thing with 70% 3m crystalline. Sometimes I do with it was darker but it cuts down heat and uv rays hitting the dash but is not even noticeable.

Got the car tinted today. 20s in the back 50s in the front. and 20 top strip.
My main reason for wanting the top strip was to conceal the dashcam. But even so, the car looks so much better with the top strip. Like it should have been from factory. Looks amazing! Thanks all! |

I've always wanted a German language version of the BAVARIAN MOTOR WORKS windshield banner I've seen on classic BMW race cars, so I had one made.
