Laggy Tach

I always found the gauge cluster to be a bit laggy, and i didn't really mind. But now that I have XHP stage 3, RPMs seem to almost float at the top and doesn't come down until the car has already moved on. Anyone else experience this or know of a fix? (2017, pre-LCI gauge cluster)
