M2 v M240i

Waiting for my new M240i to arrive next month.

Did anyone decide to go for the M2 over the 240, and if so, what were your reasons?

I decided against the M2 personally and thats coming from a lifetime of M cars.

1. Lack of avail
2. Extra 10k in price
3. Usability

I LOVE the M2 but the M240 is a fantastic most every day driver

I tend to agree with you jpnh.. Mine is due at the dealer any time now. Actually its the first new BMW I've not actually ordered having found one in the network.. almost my perfect spec, just had to ditch the adaptive lights, seat bolsters and heated steering wheel, otherwise spot on, and immediately available, so cant complain, and as always Jon and Russ at Barons spot on and great to work with.. why i always return

I love my M240i. Glad I went for it instead of the M2 as its my first BMW and I wanted something I could use every day. Just couldn't justify the extra cost.
The M-sport exhaust helped bridge the gap in terms of pure enjoyment though. Ugh that noise! Love it
