Optimal fitment for xdrive with dinan springs.
Hi, im looking to get either 18s or 19s but more likely 18s due to the horrible Michigan roads. What would be the best handling setup with a bit more meat on the rears? Thanks

Yo!
There is quite a bit of info around here on this exact subject. Here is what I have found in my research. 18x8 +35/45 with a 235 tire is the conservative answer. Close to stock. 18x8.5 +35 square with 235's is what many prefer for xDrive. More meat, and looks better with the lower offset. 18x8 +35-45, 18x9 +40-50 staggered. 225 in front, 255's out back (possibly 245's?). 18x8.5 +35, 18x9.5 +45/58 staggered. 225 in front, 255's out back. Maintains the proper ratio for the Xdrive diffs, and provided the staggered look. I have seen some jumo up to 235 in front and 265 in back as well. That is a tight fit, andmay need more mods to get them to work (camber plates, fender rolling, etc.) You can pretty much apply the same to 19 inch wheels as well. Same widths of wheels and tires. I am running BBS 19x8 +40, 19x9 +44 with 10mm spacers front and rear. Tires are 225 in front, 255 in back, stock suspension. Tires do not rub anywhere. I do plan to roll the fronts in the future. I highly suggest searching this and the main forum. There are a couple good threads in this sub forum. The VMR and Non VMR threads have a bunch of great info on what fits and what others are running succesfully. I am sure others will chime in here as well. Good luck! josh |
