M235i 18" wheels to 19" wheels : questioning
Hi,
i have currently on my M235i RWD the OEM 18" wheels 436 style fitted with Michelin PSS and it's time for me to change the tires. I would like to take advantage of this tires replacement to install the BMW 19" 405 style with the new Michelin PS4S. I would like to respect the OEM tires size for these wheels which are : Front 225/35R19 Rear 245/30R19 My 18” OEM are 7,5JX18 ET:45 / 8JX18 ET:52 and the 405 19” are 7,5JX19 ET:45 / 8JX19 ET:52. The 18” weight 10.8 kgs ( front ) and 11 kgs ( rear ). The 19” weight 9.8 kgs( front ) and 9.9 kgs ( rear ). My questions are : - Are the 19” and these tires sizes ( Front 225/35R19 and Rear 245/30R19 ) 100% compatible with my car and its OEM suspensions ? Fenders ? - Would it improve the grip and handling performances ? Or reduce ? Or same than the OEM 18” ? Thank you very much ! |

You're good to go, no issues there, same offsets as stock. Lighter wheel, latest and greatest benchmark tire, you should have slightly improved performance all the way around. Go for it!

Finally installed the 660 19" with the PS4S
I absolutely love the style of these wheels on this car. For me better than the 405 wheels. PS4S are just exceptional. The ride with these 19" + the new PS4S is more comfortable compared to the old stock 18" with used PSS. Unbelivable ! |
