look at what these subies and evos can do out of the box with a 2.0L 4 cyl.....im pretty sure bmw could do better. just give me car that is super fast to around 120-130mph (i mean blistering acceleration) and make it light and nimble and this thing would toast most cars on tracks. |

So lighter weight, lighter engine, but with good power figures. A 4 cylinder M car would make an awesome addition and be a hell of a car that a lot of enthusiasts would be waiting for |

Love the cars coming down the pike. My only gripes: new numbering system (sorry-dead horse), and that 'slash' behind the front wheel/fender. Too Dodge Daytona/Chev Camaro for me... And that's coming form someone who drives a Z4: a vehicle with an equally strange design 'slash' in the same area. Otherwise, the new cars are the bomb. Aggressive like the 1-series M Coupe (my dream car).

A 4 pot would be fine :)
The M2 renders and the one in Tanzanite blue are amazing.
http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/jag...ive-2013-08-02 I'd be fine with the 4pot from Jag Go to page/image 12 at the above link. "So they ended up with a 500bhp, four-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine. It's a blank-sheet job, not derived from a road or race unit. Up to 5,500rpm, it's supercharged. After that, it hands on to a turbo, which keeps going to the limit of 10,200rpm. That is not a misprint. " Last edited by agent00M; 10-30-2013 at 10:25 PM.. Reason: Comment about the renders. |

Now that looks good. I would hope it has Carbon fiber roof, and a power dome with functional hood vents a la E92 M3 style.

There has to be a profit margin, and there would be if they put the car into a 3-4 year production cycle and don't limit the numbers as much.

Wow
The 2 looks great! Even better in M trim! I think it has the best front out of all BMW's!
