This calls the M2 into question.
If the line up really is M235, 435+PPK+LSD, M4. And there is no M2,... then,... the M4 and M3 better be 'bastards' - with a harder performance edge and aggressive styling. Like my 1M. The hook that got me on the 1M was the spy shots of the ridiculous fender flares and oversized wheels/brakes. Once I saw those I know function was trumping form - and that the 1M would be fun. I yearn for BMW to continue the lesson they hopefully learned. |

1M uses on stock only half cars whole potential performance(hierarchy between models), remember how insane time 1M AC Schnitzer make on Sachsenring, whit only 400hp. Thanks to M3 wide track and small body.
- faster than 997 GT3 and M3 GTS - 1.0 sec slower than Lambo Aventador - 1.5 sec slower than Ferrari 458 |

This. Sounds like part of a kit. This is all very cool news though. I'm keeping my E90 M3 for about 5 more years but after that the M2 will be very high on my list.

That's quite annoying that every year a new vehicle is referenced as the "new" spiritual successor to the 2002tii. Reminds me of when the Year One of the 1 135i came out.

Very, very nice. I'm interested in the m235i/M2 Veloster-esque shooting brake which I really hope BMW makes.

I was searching for something funny and it made me laugh every time I watch it. Don't really know it's origin though, sorry.

Well this is some interesting news and certainly complicates any future car decisions on my part.
Do I: - Keep the 135 and add a used Z4 M Coupe to the stable - Eventually sell the 135 and pick up a M235 on Euro Delivery - Hope that used 1M's may appear on the market for reasonable prices when the M235 arrives Then there is always the thought of an M2...

I was considering an 1M to buy but this is a game changer, the 1M owners are asking too much for their cars and is kinda small for me. I do believe that if the dimensions will be similar with E46, the new 2 series will be THE ENTHUSIAST car. And if the design is right and the car will be with a proper LSD, then, one will be mine as well. Two questions: 1. Will they offer an INDIVIDUAL program for the 2 series? 2. Are there any plans for a hot hatch? |
