As long as the production version doesn't get screwed up and delivers same level of fun, a M2GC may be the only new BMW that may tempt me to let the 1M go. Time will tell.

BMW is becoming a joke now like a Japanese cars. X1 x3 and now they will come out with X2 then x4 later on x7. Just keep the same fuken cars and make them look better and faster that's all.

Wow, not bad at all! I actually see a mix of a few different BMW models in this render. The overall dimensions remind me of the E46, and I can see the lower roofline like that of the 6 series gran coupe. The front end reminds me of the X6 oddly enough, though it seems to work well in this render. I'm still curious to see what the upcoming 2 series and M2 coupes will look like as well.

I do like its size, profile, & the rear.
Cant wait to know more about the M2. I hope the M2's size & weight is like e36 or e46 m3. This's getting spicy!!!!!!!!

We need a poll for all of us interested in the M2 GC
Maybe that helps BMW pull the trigger on the M2 version of the 2er GC And hopefully the price stays under $55K base |

I agree. I think crash standards and even more pedestrian safety regulations are the main reasons the F20 looks like it does today. A lot of cars (look at the new A class for example) share the same style elements, such as high hood and the blunt, almost vertical nose. This article gives some insight into what kind of requirements there are for pedestrian safety: http://www.cardesignonline.com/safet...ian-safety.php If you add aerodynamics, structural integrity, manufacturing techniques, interior room, weight distribution and cost requirements to the mix you can see that designing a good looking real car is a lot more difficult than making a nice photoshop. Would like to read that C&D article. - Rick

Either coupe or M2 GC. personally, I'd go for GC since I always throw my bags and other stuff through rear doors.
Only question remaining: 4 or 6 cylinders. I hope for 6, the engine that will replace N55.. 350-400hp, e46 weight or less - whats not to like!! |

to me it looks like the awkward child of a 1 and 6 series, the 4 series renders are much more appealing imo.

the render would be far more accurate if they put anywhere for 45-1000 inches between the front wheels and the fender.

It looks great but they'll mess it up by putting tiny little rims/tires and making it 3300lbs. I hate to say it but the direction Audi/VW is going is more forward thinking.
