So what are we predicting as far as the M2?
Weight? Hopefully this will reflect the CFRP advances and we'll see 3100lbs. Engine layout/hp? Hopefully a detuned M3/M4 turbo I6, worst case a turbo 4 both producing around 350hp. |

I am totally digging the way the 2 series is shaping up, more so than the f30's. I am really interested in learning more about he M variation of the coupe/gran coupe. Render looks great!

Sorry, that looks way too chubby (probably indicative of how much it'll weigh too...). And please get rid of those lame "squared off" exhaust tips (big, round exhaust tip is still by far the best).

WOW!
This makes me want to wait for this instead of getting a F30 335! I wonder what the cost difference of a 235i Gran Coupe would be with a f30 335 Sedan? |

That looks so much better than any of the new models coming out (except for the front end). I loathe the long, hideous front ends of all the new models. All the models are becoming so unnecessarily huge and long. It's disappointing.
I like the compactness if this render though. It's definitely the right size.

Does it come with a helmet for the rear seat passengers so they don't split their heads open when they hit the door frame on the way in?
I like it though. M235i would look good in my garage.

If this is the 2 grancoupe. Then the M2 coupe will look like this except with 2 doors. The M2 is going to be a stunner!

i would debadged it... BUT I DO DO DO DO want this car 2! i might have to start being real nice to my future wife ! Quote:
I would be perfectly happy with a M2GC with +350hp or would that be the M235i expect to pay around $45K-$50K for such a toy I hope it will be more of a E36 size (or better yet E30) but who am i gonna fool... mostlikely be E46 size ... but then you would be taking on the ATS and 3 series... ?? can't wait to see some confirmation from BMW, as opposed to renders..

If the 2er ends up anywhere close to this render...wow!
All they need to fix is the front end (way too pudgy) and maybe not have the roofline slope so much, instead make it look like the current 1er - make it stand up a bit. If the plan going forward is to make the 1/2er, the old 3-Series, it'll be interesting to see how the BMW community feels as there are quite a few of us who are more attached to history than others... |
