While the lack of grooves should have little or no change in feel from a Gen 4, it somehow does feel "smaller" in my hand. Highly subjective. The real change is the trickle down from the FBI contract pistol...the ambi slide stops and the flared magwell/front cutout, IMO. The chute is noticeably larger than my 4 in a side by side, and the front cutout makes for easier access to the magazine. The ambi stop will be welcome for lefties or shooting weak hand. All good evolutionary changes. |

My gen 4 g19 groups tighter than my gen 3 does.
I can keep them all in the 9 ring on the NRA 50 foot target, but some fall out of the black with my g19 gen 3. Same sights. It's possible that is just me though. Never machine rested them to compare. P30sk tighter still compared with gen 4. Supposedly the gen 5 no longer uses a polygonal barrel, so if you happen to reload 9mm it would be a better option. Not that it makes sense these days as the ammo is so cheap. Saw a case of federal for about $135 after rebate. |

Yeah, it's conventional rifling with grooves and lands...again, what the FBI wanted for their Glock 17M pistol. |

No worries at all my friend. I was more worried about answering and being the butt of a joke or something lol.
