Hi all,

Like many others I arrived here from searches etc., I like to tinker a bit so thought I would give it a go and as a result bought my OBDC2 interface and reinstalled an HP laptop lying around as XP 32 bit.

After a little faffing around (read missing how to connect to the car correctly) managed to read and save off the DE.FSC file.

Used nbt.exe DE.fsc 0xA8 0x28 DXXX121 < dummy vin in this line

Got the return line New encoded FSC etc with the 20 digit code, when entered I get a message saying incorrect code entered. I rechecked it and re-entered it to the same result (I am assuming it is an I not a 1 in the codes as I am sure I have read that they don't use 1 or 0 in activation codes for this reason.

2012 F10 528i with NBT head, and 2017-1 maps on the 32gb stick.

I have gone over this a couple of times now and searching isn't making it any more understandable, I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

0xA8 0x28 is North America NEXT 2017-1. 0xA9 0x29 is Europe NEXT 2017-1.

I came back in from the car giving it a another go and was still on the page, certainly didn't expect to see anyone having replied, awesome response thanks.

Trying to generate a code for the North American Premium 2017-1 CIC, I think the lookup.xml is old? The one i have only has upto 2014-2 for NA Prem in it. How do I modify it to do a 2017-1 code?

FSC Generator does not generate ROUTE or EVO FSC Codes, at least not correct ones.

Even with pulling the de.fsc file from the car and using nbt.exe? Is there any way to update from Europe to NA maps without going to the dealer?

DE File is only for NBT Head Unit, which is NEXT Map. EVO Map is for NBT2 Head Unit, and NBT2 Head Unit has an F0 Navigation Enabler file for ID4, and in case of ID5 it has no Navigation Enabler file at all.
