2017 M240 with an upgraded cluster and an upgraded idrive, both of which have been in for more than 2 years with no issues at all.

Took the car out for the second drive since the winter. Was on a charger before the first drive but no charging for the last 3 weeks.

It is 9 months overdue timewise for an oil change but I have driven less than 1000 miles on this oil so was going to get to it soon.

Lots of BMW binging noises as the guage cluster turns off, also a brief electric motor noise. Clock also reset.

I tried to reset the oil in case it is an emergency action by the car because of time but the dash does not stay on long enough.

Any thoughts?

I connected bimmer code to reset the oil, which didn't work, now I have 13 error codes then 1 (instrument cluster) then 13 again.

I also put in a new battery hoping that was it.

Check to see if there's a recall for the cluster-https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

It was a software issue. I had Steve from code my bimmer reflash it remotely and it all seems fine.
I was majorly freaked out.
