License Plate relocation - question

Hey,

I'm thinking of doing the relocate for the front License plate on to the toe hook, I've seen various kit's.

My question is on the existing plate location, so I did some exploratory looking, removed the plate and there is a big plastic that the plate bolts on to and this goes into the bumper, with 4 screws

Now there appears to be a piece of raised plastic on the bumper itself, on all 4 holes, maybe 1 or 2 threads worth. I was thinking of plugging these up, but not sure the best way to go about it.

I don't really wanna take a knife to brand new 2'er. If I screw the screw into the hole they all sit proud, I was thinking of some kinda small plug or even some black plastic pva, but again there is a small raise on it

I could take a craft knife and remove it from the inside the hole, but don't really wanna,

Any ideas ?

If you get the right tow hook plate adapter, you can adjust the plate holder to avoid the sensor issue. I have one and first placement set off the sensor errors, I moved the plate mount just a bit and all was clear and has been.

Plugging the holes? I would just take it to a body shop and let them do their magic!

Good luck!

Hey guy's,
txs for all the great info

I found one at a local autoparts store, and I dont have any front sensors

I managed to get 4 black trim panels which were just the right size, also a gloss black
listed for a nissan LOL, again from an autoparts store

I just cleaned up the holes carefully with a exacto blade, no need to drill, I just pushed it in as a tight fit

looks great now, def like the off centre look

The kit was $40, the 4 trim panels were 3.99 for 2, bumperplugs would have cost me over $70 including taxes

I've seen other people use similar trim pieces and just paint it to match with a touch up paint. I got very lucky !
