The M brake is 2 pieces, you def need to drill so you can sandwich the whole thing together with the bolts. Accelerator could prob get by with just tape but the screws on that are so easy to install I don't see why you would.

cost saving (50%)

Easy install, they slip on...try getting the last screw in the lower right gas pedal, pita

Over time, the metal screw will rust from water and salt

This is something you have to see it to believe it...the look and the quality is like oem

Understood. I'd prob go that route were I to do it again.

Aside from a blatantly stupid move on my part and cutting my finger open while installing the M pedals, and spending more time dealing with that and cleaning blood off the pedals than actually installing them, I didn't find the install super difficult.

I just got lazy and had my local body shop install them. It took them about 20 minutes and he charged me $20. For that price it wasn't worth trying to do it myself.

Just so as not to scare folks off, when you drill through the brake the instructions tell you to remove sharp edges / blowout on the back with a sanding pad. Like a moron I thought to myself "do I really need to do that, let's rub my finger over it to see." Skip that part and install is a breeze, just be patient drilling.

With the non-drilling pedals looking and functioning exactly the same as the M performance ones, I'm not sure why I'd buy OEM at such a premium not to mention the installation is such a hassle. I'm perfectly happy with my aftermarket pedals at $40 and a two-minute install.

The OEM ones look much better to me.
Metal portion on the accelerator piece covers left edge portion.
Also edges of the metal portion for the brake and clutch pieces are rounded and extend to side edge.

They don't look the same to me.
Left edge on the accelerator pedal is metal although the picture below does not clearly shows it.
Look at the edge metal portion of the brake piece, it looks thicker and nicely rounded.

They look the same...they're pedals I step on, not a watch I wear and feel all day, no offense

Why bother replacing them if look does not matter?

Probably cause i'm sure most people won't be able to tell the diference from 3 feet away and they are $45 shipped instead of $150 and they look much better than the stock pedals

If I remember right the slip on gas pedal slightly limits the gas when flooring the car. I got the real M Performance ones.

Good point, I was trying to find out if anyone else notice difference beside me.
I've just realized that slip on ones are not available for MT so I don't really have a choice here and I will need to spend $120 to replace them.

You're quite welcome. Will be interesting to see which arrives first, my car or my pedals...
