I think it sounds about right. The CREE LEDs are always pricey. I have an LED road bike light that has only one CREE LED, the rest is housing and it costs $110. I'm also into reef keeping and LED light fixtures go for hundreds. I want to eventually change my front blinkers, rear blinkers, brake lights, and reverse lights to those Spektrum LED ones once I figure out what type of bulbs they are and how to install them.

Anyone know where I can find that information?

EDIT: I found it in the Manual. Lol. Woot

The manual says the front blinkers are PY21W. Rear turn signal, tail, reversing lamp, and brakes are P21W. Rear fog lamps are H6W.

You guys know the 4 series option for full LED bulbs is $1900 right?

These work perfect on my 135is. No errors and just as bright as stock. These are the same bulbs specified for a 2 series.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but a bit confused and looking for a bit of help. From what I can tell from above 1156 / P21W bulbs is what I would need to change for the main headlight turn signals. What I am trying to do is the same thing I did with my E90, change the bulb to a white turn signal. Other than the Bimmian $89 option, anyone see any other options?

I am also looking to change the turn signal bulb on the side view mirror. Anyone know what bulb I could use to accomplish this? Thanks

Side-mirror turn signals are LED and non-replaceable. Your only other options with the headlight turn signals are mirrored incandescents, eBay-sourced LEDs (at the risk of throwing codes), or possibly DeAutoKey.

If you're looking to change the actual operative color from amber to white ... c'mon, man. Not only is it illegal, it's just ... so ... JDM.

Correct, I want the entire front end colors to match. Had it on all of my BMW's. My car gets here in a little bit, once I get it I will tear it apart to see about changing the side-mirror LED's. Everything is replaceable, everything. Bimmian has a $90 option for full LED replacement, but that's just crazy.

I just moved from living in Japan for the past 2 years, don't mind JDM so much. That being said, this car won't be slammed, nor run massive camber or wild body kit.

Might do all of them for DeAutoKey ......Let the testing begin.

Thanks http://deautokey.com
I need more info, their website is confusing, where are the front turns for the BMW and what is the price?

I have their tail set up and I am very happy but I didn't know they had the front turns. MORE INFO PLEASE

I'm staying away from bimmian as they are too expensive and I have seen my deAutoLEDs outshine the bimmian at a car meet last week, I will take video next time.

Email them directly. They are very good on the email. I believe they are not posting up the front turn signal in the mean time because of the flickering. Mention my username and you can receiive 10% off

I've ordered an entire set of things too:
  • Bimmian front turn signals (amber) by Spektrum - Cree
  • deAutoKey rear tail lights - 6x Osram
  • deAutoKey reverse lights - 2x Cree
  • deAutoKey rear turn signals - 2x Osram

Here's the URLs for what I ordered:
Bimmian - Spektrum Cree front turn signals

deAutoKey reverse + brake lights

I'm going to try and install these tomorrow night without coding and take some videos. If there's flickering, I'll try coding and see if that has an effect.

Either way I'll report back my findings!
