I actually just re-applied the spoiler tonight, got it to fit much better. Doubled up the tape on some areas and moved the spoiler forward about 1/4 of an inch. We will see if it lasts!

Yeah I would use the highest strength double-sided tape you can find. Cover every square inch of the underside of spoiler with it, prep the bonding surface with denatured alcohol, then apply . Using a heat gun can often help adhesion, especially if you are installing in a cooler climate. It could potentially make the spoiler comply more as well.

3m makes a vhb tape, (very high bond). My buddy just used it for his spoiler install. I think he had to order it though.

Yep couldn't agree more. Do that process every time I use double sided tape! Installed last night in 35-40 degree weather. I heated both the trunk and the tape pretty well before sticking it down.

Unfortunately, this thing is seriously bowed if you position it in the proper position (Flat on the top of the trunk with the lower lip hanging over the back edge). So I just positioned it further forward so the bow doesn't pull the corners up.

This is the 3rd time I've put this thing down. At this point, if it flys off going down the highway, it was fate and I will go buy a BMW OEM spoiler.

I asked DCR Tuning if these had the UV-resistant clear coating, because their other product I was looking at (Dual Slat CF M-colored Grille) stated that it did. They replied that all of their products have UV-resistant clear coating. Just FYI if anyone was wondering!

Preppint is the most important part ! When i've put the spoiler on my 335 I just put the 3M red available at my local autostore and it stayed on up to 170mph no issues at all.

vhb tape or the 30lb 3m tape home depot sells.

Make sure you clean the area very good with alcohol before sticking it down.

After you stick it down press down on it for at least 5 mins, than dont wash the car for a week.

It will be on there for ever.

Update

Guys just a quick update here. These are the ones I got from AliExpress for about $95 shipped.

They have been on my car for about a year and through 2 New England winter's. The clear coat started to fail so I popped them off and refinished them. Steps are below.

- remove covers
-scrap clear coat off with a plastic scraper or trim tool, I used a trim tool
- wet sand the covers with 500 grit. I finished with 600 grit.
- I did not use denatured alcohol to clean before paint, just water, soap, and a high quality mf towel. De natured alc instantly clouded the under clear coat and had to be sanded off again
- I sprayed 4 coats of clear coat from a rattle can from autotouchup.com
- I waited a day, the wetsanded with 1200 grit, then 3000 grit, the with rubbing compound, then with polish.

Here are the results. I'm they look way better than the day they showed up. One of these pics is wet sanded 3000. I think a satin or matte clear coat would look cool too, but I went with the polished look again.

For guys taping things down - spend the $5 to get the 3M adhesive promoter wipes too. Makes a big difference.

Yup outside. I have some more pics that didnt upload, but you could actually see the clear coat yellow on the top and not yellow in the less exposed areas.

What made me actually do this was a chip in the clear coat that was growing larger in size. It seems like the chip is what started it and that the would have been ok otherwise.

I installed these too. They exceeded my expectations, great fit and finish. Nice inexpensive cosmetic mod, I like 'em!

If you are handy I'd recommend putting some uv stable clearcoating on top of them before you install. I'm sure they will last ok, but if you really want them to last it's not a bad idea.
