Looks great. I really like that interior selection - much nicer than M Performance.

Where'd you get the Straight Cut Matte Tips from? I just ordered a set 3 weeks ago and had to opt for the Angle Cut Matte Tips.

Looks great!! I see you got the shifter surround removed. I posted in your other thread. I assume you are going to do alcantara on the shifter trim?? Can't wait to see that.

Thanks! The DIY side is almost over now, there are a few store bought items that need to go on before I am happy with it.

I got them from BMS. They emailed me when they were back in stock (I was waiting) and I jumped straight on their website and submitted my order.

I did! I made the mistake of thinking the shift boot was connected to the surround...

I think doing the boot in Alcantara might be a bit much if the surround is also the same. I actually quite like the black leather (matches the handbrake gaiter). Having said that, never say never!

I agree with leaving the boot as it is. I was talking about the shifter itself, the silver piece on the shifter. Are you doing that in alcantara? Not sure how well that would wear in that application though.

My mistake.

I will be putting the M Performance carbon shifter on. Definitely need to get rid of silver now.

Installed the M Performance shifter today and also reverted back to the OEM leather handbrake.

You can also just see in the background that the door pulls have been covered now to.

Thanks mate.

Really annoys me how bad the design of the OEM carbon shifter is, they used a light coloured plastic for the different LED compartments which means the light just bleeds through e.g. if you're in Park the light bleeds through to Neutral and Drive as well. Why they did this I have no idea, even the standard sports shifter this replaced had opaque silver compartments so no light bled through.

C'mon BMW, you're better than this.

Looks great Wasko! I like the shifter with the alcantara trim at the base.

When you replaced the shifter, did you transfer the white plastic diffuser piece from the old shifter trim? Lots of people forget about that and it helps with the light diffusion. I think it also helps the trim fit up better.

Thanks!

Yep I transferred this piece. Still getting bleeding though. I managed to get rid of the orange from soaking through by covering the separator, however the green is going through the light coloured walls and since they are enclosed there isn't much I can do about it

Hey Wasko, I looked to the website where you get your alcantara material and looks like they're not selling it. Do you have any other suggestions where I can order it? Thanks in advance!
