I heard back from the seller today. Wants me to take pictures of how they don't fit. Guess I'll post them up here too.

I think I'm leaning towards getting them wrapped. I'm going to have the window trim wrapped (shadow line) so while it's there I may have them wrap the mirror covers as well.

RW carbon they look good, can you confirm if those are real carbon fiber? Can you post a clear picture with no flash? How's the fitment?

These are an ABS plastic base with real carbon fiber fabric overlay and finished off with a clearcoat.

Wish I had seen this post too. ordered from the same vendor and one of the caps came with a broken tab and still would not fit. seems like someone had returned these and they sent them out again... emailed the seller to see if they can send one that fits or refund me. Will report back once I hear from them.

I received a full refund and he refunded me my shipping costs back to him. Although the product fit wasn't good. He seemed to handle the return well.

Exactly.... if from time to time I decide to go ferric gray, black, gunnmetal or other Wheel color, I will re-paint the caps to match them!

Yours (M235 owners) already have them matching.

Are your covers made overseas and inspected for quality before shipment from California or does RW Carbon actually wrap the covers at your facility?

Not to throw a damper on the talk here. I purchased CF mirror caps from RW Carbon. Lasted a year before I tossed them. The caps created ridges and severe haze. I purchased replacement CF caps, and a new CF front lip and rear diffuser from Ali Express. The Ali Express vendor products have held up much better.

AutoID UK carbon fibre wing caps, £125 pair (https://autoid.uk.com/) a year on and having been through a wet British winter and a summer at altitude in the Alps, they've not faded or yellowed etc. AutoID also do a video on fitting.



I took the mirrors off: my advice would be to use as soft and wide a lever as possible (definitely not a screwdriver - something like a wide plastic trim tool). Also, wind the window down first, then you can rest the mirror on the sill, rather than have it hang loose by its wires. And you have to pinch-in each of the retaining clips on the wing cap before removing - you can't just yank it off with brute force. First one took 20 mins and the second 5.

Personally, for me, body colour would look just as good as CF. I only didn't go for that because at the time, the estoril blue had changed shade (EB-1 to EB-2) so I didn't want any issues over getting the wrong shade. I have thought about getting the bizzare grey originals done is some funky black/EB combination with a thin 'M Performance' stripe but it would be too much hassle and could easily look naff.

I first had the M-style clearcoated carbon ones, which was overkill on a Sport Line so I sold them again.
After that I got the matte carbon ones posted below.



Both came from AutoID in the UK, Quality was good both times, no complaints so far after about 10 months.
