Both, there are two plastic clips there too.

There are about 10 plastic clips holding the inner part so you don't have to break anything.

$260.00? You can get the M2 grills for 120.00 each and I think the M235i grills are 60-70 each. Anyway, you are still saving 110-120!

I already shared a lot of the CDN pricing in another thread somewhere. They can price it out, but can't order it. My grilles got ordered but BMW was fast to tell my dealer the parts are backordered and then removed the ability to order from their system.

I was told March 16 for most parts for the M2.

Hmm good to know! My dealership hasn't been able to price them out and told me official pricing/ordering on April 5th. Mind posting link to thread?

Yes, dealer added front grilles to my M2 and the build sheet showed $410 for them.

These cheap prices you stated, are they real OEM parts? I don't want some busted knock off Auto Zone looking parts with a bad paint job.

Yes, if they quoted you $410 they screwed you over.
iND isn't known to be cheap and even they sell them for $324.

$410 is what BMW will be selling them for so sounds like a lot of people will get screwed if they buy from the dealer.

$324 sounds better but BMW has M235 ones for $150. Need to shop around now for best prices on those

I'm fairly certain they just install the black grilles during production and not after the car is built.

That said, take a step back and think about it; we're being asked to pay a hefty amount for some simple plastic grilles which cost the manufacturer a fraction to make. On top of that, they are charging significantly more for the M2 grilles than the M235i grilles. That pretty much says it all.

M Performance parts for the US are port installed. No M Performance parts at all are installed at the factory except on special edition models.

Shouldn't be an issue. On the inside of the double slats there are part numbers for chrome and black outer parts listed.

That's what i was thinking. Odd they would charge more than the M4 which shows $360 for the set on BMW.
