In my case ceramic coat plus longer dwell time with the cannoned foam means that I can remove most of the dirt before I even touch the car with the mitts. I personally find using the foam cannon on the car therapeutic . I also find you end up with a lot more foam for the same amount of soap.

Is the PSI adjustable? 3,100 PSI is incredibly high. You want to use 1/2 of that on a car so you won't damage your paint.

The Krazle 1122TST is one of the best pressure washers for your car and it's 1,400 PSI.

Not by engine control, but you have a variable nozzle that gives you options for pressure.

Saw this video on an inexpensive pressure washer & foam cannon set up. Plus the host is easy on the eyes!

No foam cannon, just a proper two bucket, with bug&tar pre wash on the front end. It's bad, here, especially the river moths I'm down to one wash per week because it's a real chore..

I just wan't to chip in with another tip i am sure most of you know this by now but, The mirror caps on a lot of new bimmers today they accumulate a lot of water in them so when you guys start to rinse you cars my tip is fold in and fold out the mirrors several times during the drying processes there is so much water in them that it's ridiculous i am not sure they fixed that yet but on my X1 it's an really annoying issue so much so that i am actually using high pressure air to get all the water out so be careful so you don't forget that part, so you don't get mold growth on the inside of your mirror caps cause its a very nice place for fungi and mold to grow when water is inside of them. And it closes out the fresh air from them.

//Cheers keep the foam pictures coming.

First and foremost, I have learned a few things over the last couple of weeks. Foam Cannons, always use two buckets, etcetera.

My next question is should I be doing anything special to the carbon fiber parts on the outside of my car? How do you properly take care of them?

nothing special, they should be clear coated so treat them like any other painted panel.
