I'm considering adding 1 year to the ultimate care package that comes with the car. I like the idea of having the provided service match the term of my warranty. Otherwise, would be tempted to take to a private shop for service in year 4. I'm hoping that the dealer might identify any warranty issues during the last year.

Pricey, though, at roughly $2K US.

Looking for experiences with additional years of ultimate care. Also, looking for input if dealers are flexible in terms of pricing/negotiation on the ultimate care.

The cost is exhorbitant, for service you can get done at a much lower cost if you know a good indy mechanic, who will spot any problems as well as the average BMW shop-floor, who has no personal incentive to build a relationship with you.
STAY AWAY!!!
