MPE + Catted DP or MPE + mid pipe

Which setup would be louder? Which would have a deeper tone to it? Listened to a ton of clips but hard to tell so curious if anyone has experience with these, thx !

Definitely a quality catted downpipe. The sound with the MPE is glorious plus you gain a decent amount of HP and TQ with no tune needed. A midpipe offers no power gains and often creates a level of rasp. There's no rasp with a catted downpipe.

I'm damn picky about mods and will immediately yank them if they create ugly sounds, have excessive noise/drone, vibration, or negatively impact driveability. I got none of that with my HJS Euro 6 downpipe.

Awesome, Appreciate the feedback. According to Pro Tuning Freaks, they still recommend the Stage 1 tune even with the catted DP and MPE (as opposed to stage 2) so I was contemplating just doing the mid pipe plus Stage 1 to keep things simple, but if the DP sounds a bit deeper I'll definitely go that route and take the performance benefit as well

Definitely a deeper, more fluid, exotic sounding, with a bit of snarl thrown in.

That's interesting that Pro Tuning Freaks says to stay at Stage 1 with downpipe. I'm of the same opinion as it seems that the Stage 2 tune/DP cars tend to have more driveability, tuning, and CEL issues. I'd rather play it safe rather than have all out power. I have to say that with just the DP, my car feels as quick as it does with the Dinan Sport turned on (it's currently off) and driveability is a bit better as well.

Cool, and stage 2 is really only 6% more power compared to stage 1 which is already a very large bump so that's likely the sweet spot.

N55 electronic wastegate (EWG):
Stage 1 91: 25%HP / 28%TQ
Stage 1 93: 27%HP / 30%TQ
Stage 2 91: 31%HP / 34%TQ
Stage 2 93: 33%HP / 36%TQ
