Identifying this Sensor

Can someone identify what this sensor is, and what's under that screw cap ?
What that's for ?

I’m not certain but it appears to me to be a refrigerant line for the ac. Under the cap is a port to add/remove refrigerant to the system.

Concur. It appears to be the pressure sensor for the ac refrigerant.
