what is triangular piece called that covers access to the door side mirrors.

Hello,

Looking for the part number for the HK version of the triangular piece covers access to the door side mirrors. I have the base audio system and want to upgrade speakers to include tweeters. The easiest way IMO is to obtain that triangular piece which on on HK equipped cars houses the tweeter.

Unfortunately I have no idea what its called and so cannot find a part number.
I would be fine with a used pair.....

Many thanks.

Dean.

PS the basic stereo is total crap. Shocking for a car of such otherwise good quality.

Item #10 is what you want. For HK systems the part numbers are:

51337269361
51337269362

without using the HK OEM sail panels, will a 1.5" or 2" tweeter fit?

The OEM one is 1" when mounted in the dedicated sail panel - but if you were to cut a hole does 2" fit with what sits behind the plastic?

You’ll have to fabricate something to hold the tweeter. I don’t think there’s any room outward from the back of sail panel or HK tweeter sail panel.
