Modification/Estimation

Afternoon

I purchased an M235I about 8 months ago and i have been saving up to purchase all the power mods in one go. Currently at that point now, i have on order a VRSF cat-less down pipe, MTC front mount inter-cooler, Injen air intake, and Forge Motorsport charge pipe.

Wondering what that should take me too (Roughly) BHP wise i know i could just wait til its dyno'd but i was interested to get an idea as to what other people with a similar platform have made with these modifications.

Also what sort of an effect would this have on the longevity of the car? Only has 40k on the clock and has been service by BMW when ever required.

Cheers boys.

"About tree fiddy?"

Serious answer: You have a catless downpipe involved; you will get a tune one way or another, and that will determine what you will be putting down to the wheels.

Seems like you're only missing a tune before determine BHP. I had my M235i on stage 2 tune at 45k miles drove it to 79k before traded it in Only mods I had was down pipe and charge pipe.

My bad ... It has a tune already from the previous owner of the car. RS Tuning in Leeds supplied it they will tweak the map for £150 to suit my modifications. Was hoping to make upwards of 400.

Reasonable assumption is that you are running some sort of a stage 1 equivalent tune right now. Once you put these parts in, you will be dealing with a drastically different driver train profile and will need adjustments.

Anyway, I honestly think these tune related power figures are silly. However depending upon the dyno if you go catless and put on a new tune, I don't see why you can't put down 400 plus to the wheels.

With a stage 2 tune of some sorts, plus those mods, you're looking at anywhere from 380-400 would be my estimate. I'd say closer to 385-390 range realistically, though

I'd say you get 400 plus torque all day for sure
