Interior Trim Removal

Has anyone had any trouble refitting the gear selector trim after wrapping.

There seems to always be a gap on the left hand side, maybe the wrap has made it too big!
Thanks

@Josh240 Do you mean these pieces? There are two components, the larger, black flat plate and the inner, curved-profile, faux-chrome piece.

Which did you have wrapped? Or did you do both? I removed the faux-chrome piece, sanded and resprayed it matt black, and the only issue was removing/replacing the rather fussy arrangement of pins where it attaches to the plate.

I agree with the chrome/silver looking cheap and tacky, that’s why I decided to change it up myself. You have done a good job and is looking excellent mate.
But no it was neither of those trims it was on the gear lever itself, my bad I should have been a little specific.

No probs. Thanks for the compliment. Although with the surround it was fairly easy, as I was able to do everything at leisure: a coarse and then fine sand; a spray painted bonding layer, dry, primer, dry, then three top coats and drying between each. If I'd needed the car while I was all doing this I could still have driven it, no problem.

I'd definitely like to do something to the similarly-naff faux-chrome on the gear shift stick and the circlet on the steering wheel. But with both, I felt it was a bit beyond me. Especially the latter. So, full marks for giving it a go. Mind you, I've replaced the mirror caps with carbon fibre, which some people have had a lot of trouble with, but which I found straightforward. So perhaps I should try it.

Can you provide a photo' of what your wrapped bit looks like?

Yeah all the faux chrome looks terrible so i've gone about wrapping.
As you can see in the picture it's just slightly off to the right and cant seem to get it clipped back into position.
