Will the computer figure out that I'm teleworking?
I bought a 2020 M240i at the end of January, and barely got to drive it for two months () before the shutdowns hit and I started teleworking full time. I make sure I drive somewhere at least once a week, but I'm not exactly racking up the miles and only recently cracked 1800...while the onboard computer still thinks I'll hit 10000 miles and be ready for my first service in October.
This is my first BMW. Will the computer eventually adjust, or will my car start nagging me for service in three months when it (probably) won't even have 3000 miles on it? |

It even knows how hard you drive (it will call for earlier replacement/oil changes if lots of hard driving). Much of the maintenance is by time-or-miles, so it will call for them on the one-year or two-year mark regardless of how much you drive (i.e. brake fluid, cabin filter).

If it knows I've only driven 1800 miles in the past 5-6 months, I guess I'm wondering why/how it thinks I'm going to drive 8200 miles in the next 3-4 months...and when it's going to adjust the "next service due" info?

Basically, it sounds like I just need to learn to stop worrying and love the computer... |

If by first service, you mean oil change and such, there is a mileage AND time based requirement. If you do not drive much, you should still service it by the time based requirement, which I believe is a year.
