with the re71r's, i've found they like to be 29psi - 30psi cold and heat up to 38psi while on track. Just use a pressure gauge in the paddock, but any lower than 29 and it wont let you out of comfort mode till they heat up and add more pressure.

Not sure what your running, but i found this to be the best setup for a 20-30 min session.


You should call your jb4 an engine tune since a ecu tune is very different, taking the ecu out, opening it up, jumping pins, than using software to manipulate and tune. Its very different than using a piggyback like a jb4/Dinan/Active or other options and gains are greater.

Pretty straight forward swap, obviously needs an alignment after the LCA install, but well worth the investment. The car feels sharp and turn in is noticeably better upon first drives. Car feels at home, now, for sure.

Fyi don't do the swap and try to drive on them to get them aligned. I made that mistake. Got about 15 feet before decided to back up and adjust toe. I ended up eyeballing the toe adjustment to get it drivable first then went to the shop about a mile down the road.

I would not advise doing it that way.

I run them as prefer factory spec, front 32psi rear 38psi +/-5% warmed. so i started at 28 in the front and 34 in the rear cold b4 going into the track and it gave low pressure warning and stuck in comfort mode.

ya, i know it's piggy back, it alternate IGN map, and feul map, base on boost and other inputs which is basically what i need for my bolt-on. if I have a built motor and heavy modded Japanese, like my old FD, MR2, EK and Miata, I would have gone standalones too bad this European ECU is way more complicated and i think just a little cheat to allow ~30% boost is already very good for my need.

FYI,

Our Canadian cars have "Flat Tire Monitor" not "Tire Pressure Monitoring System" so you can simply reset it once you've got the desired pressure before you run. The system shouldn't indicate an issue with air pressure rising, either. Just a thought..

no, they're definately TPMS on my M235i cus i purchased 2 set, total of 8 of those new style TPMS and installed them on both my street and track wheels myself. my E92 M3 and Z4 has Flat tire monitor system which base on feedback from the ABS sensor.

Okay if you bought the sensors, I get it then. My car (2015) didn't have them, just the FTM, and it's been pretty stress free I must say, lol.

Sorry to revive this thread... I am trying to install the M4 TS on my car but the bushing is a lot thinner. How did you get it installed?
