the reason I mentioned the 335 was that if you are up in the air about which to get (as I am) I think this knocks the m3 up a few notches.

With Vishnu's tuning, the 335i is already ahead of the e46 m3 and that's within what, about 2 months time. I'm sure with a little more tuning and some mods the 335i will take most S/Ced e46 m3 out there. (probably within 6 months time)

Notice how he avoids the price issue? It'll knock a nice sized hole in your wallet too.

A new stock e46 M3 (if you can still find a new one) costs 5-10K more than the e92 335i on average.

Plus the e92 is meant to be a daily driver.

Now if you are looking to buy a used M3, well, I would rather buy a used 911.

Fair enough--but there is no denying the E92 is hot. Better? Like you said, depends on opinion, but the new style is definately nice.
