New 2007 Grand Cherokee

Hi Guys, does anybody here have any info regarding this SUV, i am pretty much interested in the 5.7 L overland 330 BHP and the SRT-8 with 420 BHP
This is quite a lot , i think its the most powerful SUV after the cayenne turbo & the supercharged range rover.
What do you guys think ( interms of reviews, performance, reliability & previous experience)?
Thanks

Thumbs up

Hey, check out:

http://www.cherokeesrt8.com

Then pm me, because I have an awesome video that I can send you if you want. John Hennessey is a member of that forum. Also check out:

http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/...ance/index.php

They make a Twin Turbo, 620-hp SRT8 that'll do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds; now you understand the capabilities. There's a whole tuning crowd for the SRT8, just like Bimmers. The 5.7L doesn't really have a performance crowd like the SRT8, but rather a Off-road group, but there are many aftermarket performance parts. And just fyi, there's videos out there of SRT8s racing and WALKING on E60 M5s in wet weather. ...and I don't think even a Cayenne Turbo S would have a chance in a bang-for-the-buck comparo. (1/3 $$$ of P-Truck!) A while ago, there was a comparo of a Supercharged Range Rover and the SRT8 and the SRT8 was favored because of the deal, but if the money is there, the RR is a better choice. But for that much $$$, the could tune (TOON!) the spit out of the Jeep. Reliability issues are not yet completely viewable because the 6.1L HEMI is fairly new.

Hope this helps...Good Luck!

I mean this is General Car talk,so that would give him the right to post a topic about any type of vehicle, No??
I read something in a magazine about the topic 10 SUVs and the SRT-8 Grand Cherokee was by far the fastest, but they said the best all around and for the money was the Infiniti FX-45. The BMW was the top ranked, as it handled perfect and had wonderful brakes but it just costs too much. The SS trailblazer was a great contender, extremely fast but it was limited by its 4-speed transmission. Porsche had good performance but way too costly along with Range Rover.

I'd certainly shop the SRT8 if I was in the market for an SUV, but I'd probably prefer a 328 sport wagon.

srt-8 chrokee is a great car, especially for the money. the only problem is interior, its kinda so so american quality. and ignore all the other a$$holes in here that cant respect others choices besides BMW.

Don't forget about the ML63 AMG, thats a beauty. Same 0-60 times as the Cayenne Turbo S.

I would go for the SRT-8. I have always liked the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This engine competes with sports cars for less price. If you want a straight line beast, and an SUV, this is the car for you. Badass
