Hi All,

Bought a 2015 228i just for fun days in the sun and a once a week school run.

However, I have the basic NAV with the little screen. Looking to swap out for an Android screen.

Firstly, are the screens made for the F20 and F22 the same? Fitment and plugs wise?

F20 iDrive screen and F22 iDrive screen , are one in the same. Comfrimed on RealOEM

12.03" screens in an F22 2014? The seller has confirmed these fit. Can anyone else confirm the 12.03" will fit in a pre-LCI 2014 228i????

having had 1 of these android units previously for my e88 cic display.
they do a million things but none of them very well.
to me there made from cheap and nasty parts/not quality.
if you want quality and performance go oem screen and get it fitted by someone who can program it to your car.

I got the Eurostyle Tuning unit https://us.eurostyletuning.com.au/pr...20-f21-f22-f23 . See my thread from a few months back.

Pretty happy so far. Carplay works great. Original car functions are still available. Switching back and forth can be a bit glitchy (e.g. have to play a radio station on the original before switching to CarPlay if I want audio).

Only real complaint so far: it's too bright at night. I can't find any brightness adjustment on it. I would usually shut the original display off at night from the menu (two clicks, still try it from muscle memory). When I switch the new unit to car display and turn it off that way after a minute or so it comes back on.
