Wheel Repair
I have a bent rim. Anyone know how much I should expect to pay to have it repaired? These are factory wheels on a 2016 228i. Just trying to get an idea of repair cost versus replacement. Thanks.

How badly is it damaged? Is it cracked? Does the wheel need to be refinished?

If no painting is needed it should be under $100, depending on severity of the warp. If the wheel needs to be heated up to be straightened, that may compromise the paint and then tack on another hundred. (estimated pricing)
Have you tried pricing out a used OEM wheel or get your indy to find one? They're likely cheap by now if you can find a single. Assuming they're the crab claw style, they're a dime a dozen from people swapping them out. |

Yeah, if it is not cracked or needing refinishing it should be cheap. I've had lots of wheels straightened for under $100 CAD.
How much a replacement costs will vary widely depending on the wheel model. The BBS made forged Style 313s on my previous 3 series were insanely expensive to replace, so they got straightened regardless. |

Yea, cheapest I found a used wheel was $250. I'm now considering aftermarket options and maybe will see if I can sell the the good wheels to recoup some of the cost.

Just gotta come back and give props to Wheel Collision Center. I bought a replacement wheel from them and it turns out they are just about the best shop I've ever dealt with. Darrell was amazing to work with and took great care of me, even making my job a rush. They got the wheel done and shipped super quick and it arrived looking brand new. If you need a wheel these guys are top notch all the way.

I had a mobile wheel repair in PA do mine that one of the body shops recommended I met him at a dealership the guy checked the run out on the bent wheels straightened the one stated the other was well within run out limits and I shouldn't have a problem let me watch the whole process it was very cool to see cost me under $100 and a six pack for the guy for being so cool. I have run the wheels for 4 years with no vibration or issues couldn't be happier
