"Send to car" not working with m235

I have three different BMW's - X5, X1 and the m235. All have idrives with bmw apps, connected drive, and a bunch of other features. All of them are able to receive text messages, and all three of them are registered with BMW connected drive site.

The problem is, when I send a location from Googe maps or from BMW remote app on my iphone - it appears in X1 and X5 under service messages - myinfo, but not with the m235. I'm able to do everything else from the app - flash headlights, sound horn, activate ventilation, locate the car on maps, but messages don't go through.

There is another thread about this. I don't have that app but I use the feature from my desktop and that works fine. Search for that other thread, I think someone had a solution.

Yeah, neither desktop or the app work for me.

That's strange. I just used the feature yesterday. I'd push the SOS button and get it sorted out.

Isn't SOS botton designed for emergencies, not inquiries with service messages?

No, you actually have concierge service if you have tech package so you can call and ask them anything you want like movie times etc

They will even let you make a phone call if you cellphone battery dies too

Exactly. I've used it for many things, but never a real emergency.

I wonder if it can have anything to do with me coding the headunit to add Office feature. Before I did that I couldn't get text messages. (updated the FA list 6NH->6NS)

no, the concierge is a subscription service that you need to pay for unless you have the tech package which includes it for the first 3 years i believe

I do have tech, and it includes the 5 services I listed above, it doesn't include concierge - that was a separate $250 option that I didn't get. I don't think it has anything to do with service messages though.

Could be, but for 15 we got bluetooth audio streaming without buying enhanced bluetooth option, so thats a good trade off.

^ There is an app for your phone.

With the app you can send commands to your car to do things like lock the doors, sound the horn, activate the ventilation fans, or send a google maps point of interest to the navigation system. You can also see the GPS location of your car if you are within 5 km of it.

This functionality requires a full connected drive subscription.

Its actually very simple. Worked great for me until I had my phone crash and lost my account information. To lazy to call BMW and get my information back.

You can also do it using google maps on your desktop/laptop. You don't even have to call BMW to retrieve your info, just use connected drive website to register/retrieve information.
