Exactly, it doesn't have the 1M stance.

Maybe some 20 inch wheels and fat tyres and spacers and a drop would make it look the bomb LOL

But from the pics it looks a bit like a high hat on wheels (just like a normal 1 series coupe imho)

Cheers

Not bad, but I think that if I was in the market I would wait a year or two and see if they come out with an M2.

It doesn't sit quite as aggressively as I had hoped it would. Definitely needs a bigger rim, and maybe even a drop with some spacers.

It's nice, just doesn't look like that much of a departure from the e82.

Not a fan of the slanted grill slats. As for the rest, I'll wait for the offical fake looking render photo pics, then the official 'real world' photos, then after I'm not impressed with them either, I'll wait to see it in person, when - it will inevitably look much much better. Because that's how it goes with any new BMW!

that wasn't long before these pics leaked! haha. I saw it yesterday as well. Looks great in person, longer than the 135i and a lower center of gravity.

Thanks for the info--are the wheels gunmetal? I can't tell from the pics...

Did you get to sit inside it? Did they turn it on at all?

Since we have no M135 here in the US, I was curious about the sound comparison to a 135is...

OP--thanks for the pics...

Its always been that way on the M models. Look at the M535d or X5 35d. Its just continuing the lettering style like it is on the Ms. All M3,M5 etc have th enumbers that way.

I really hope corporate doesn't try and find out which employee posted those pics. They were pretty strict about making sure we didn't take any during the reveal

I hear ya there--not THAT big of a deal though, with the reveal being Friday and all.

Also, the pics we see Friday will be much better, in regard to detail and angles of the car. Since there are no pics of the boot, this awesome dude didn't show anything that hasn't been at least glimpsed before.

That would be my argument anyway.

Good point...but if I had it my way, I would save the ///M lettering for true ///M cars...

Just my $.02...and I am getting one of these babies...

well the 135is sounds AMAZING and from what i've heard of the M135i it doesn't sound as good as what we have already----but MAYBE they've tweaked the M235i exhaust. I'm not sure what the 'active sound' situation is with this M235i, but i'm guessing it will be similar to the M135?

that being said....exhaust is always something that people can modify in the aftermarket so it's not that big of a deal really.

I love the 135is--it has all the little extra "touches" that neither of my E82s had on their own.

I am hoping we see the same overall theme in the M235, just with the new body style...

As far as the sound goes, that is the only thing I have liked better on my N55 E82 over my original N54 E82--the exhaust is much more aggressive, especially on start up. Has nice little "pops" on up and down shifts with the Sport button engaged and the DCT in manual...

What was wrong with the perfect designation BMW already had? The "is"???

I completely agree they're diluting the "M" name (although I love the car), and personally I love that my car is a 335is and not an M335i. It's understated and conveys what it is, I know it's not an M, but it's what a fun BMW should be. It keeps the distinction between M3 and 335, leaves the hollowed Motorsport name untouched, and hints that its not your ordinary 335. In other words, PERFECT for this car, 235is sounds great to me....

I had some expectations about this car, I slightly feel disappointed, the grille is hideous, It looks Korean or something like that.

No doubt about power and drivability, but the looks are somewhat confusing IMHO, maybe IRL it`s better, we will see about that.
