New 2018 M240xi Owner

What's going on fellas?

Just picked up a 2018 M240xi Sunset Orange 2 days ago. Loving the car so far. Glad to be back to BMW after so many years. My first car was a 2001 330i. After switching to Subaru for over 10 years I traded in my 2013 BRZ for the M240 as my 30th Birth Day gift to my self (which is actually today). Looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.

I'm currently trying to find a good online aftermarket parts store that has a wide range of parts for our cars? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated it.

My goals today would be to order a couple parts for the car.

-Tow hook license plate holder
-Front Lip or Splitter (Carbon fiber or not)
-Carbon Fiber mirror covers (can not stand the silver with the orange)
-M Rocker Panel Blades
-Cat-back exhaust
-Most recommended racing chip for the car. (Low to Midrange gains)
-Carbon fiber rear spoiler
-Good quality M badges for the front grill and side fenders

Welcome, congrats, and very nice collection!

I'll just quickly address two points, also from an orange car point-of-view, albeit the previous version, Valencia Orange.

BMW MPerformance rear spoiler...great quality and fit after returning an aftermarket version which didn't have the exact same curve in plan view.

And, consider just painting the mirror caps to match....mine started out gloss black.

Have you considered the M performance exhaust? I had that on my 1 series. It seemed to drone less than the Supersprint cat back exhaust that I had on my X3 when driving on the highway. I think a big benefit of the M perf exhaust is the added pops and burbles that you get.

Thank you. I have been considering the MPE. But unfortunately, being only a muffler, there will not any advantage for performance once car is tuned. If I wasn't planning on getting the car tuned. I would go for the M exhaust. But since I am, may as well get something that will help open up the flow a bit.

I have to say the 2 looks stunning in orange. I got mine in Estoril Blue and also wondered why the mirrors where grey. I got the spoiler and I would have added the CF mirrors as a dock installed option had I known.

Def the BRZ. Although both the WRX and STI were way faster than the BRZ, the handling was unbelievable. I just switched careers and will be needing an AWD vehicle for the winter, otherwise I wouldn't have made this switch just yet.

I've got the same one on order. Where did you get the back spoiler and how is it holding up ? I hear so much about them bubbling and yellowing. Don't want to throw something cheep on a vehicle like these. Were you concerned about the mirror caps and the spoiler matching ?
