Not an improvement to my eye. Still think the BMW MPerformance one looks best on this car.

I was thinking I liked this one when I had seen it before, but something seems off with yours...

The problem with the 2-series is that it looks like the back of a tiny subcompact was grafted onto the front of a 3-series. That spoiler adds a surprising amount of heft to the rear in the side view. It improves the car substantially to my eye. (However, it does look a bit silly from the rear.)

It's okay, a bit "boy racer" for my tastes, but then again I've had the OK Boomer meme sent my way a few times.

The //M Badge on the 240i is all you need unless your are making this a track monster.

I didn't like this style personally, you would need that level of aggression on the rest of the car for it to work imo. I went with autoteckniks $80 ABS m-perf replica on ECS and it looks great, I agree that the m-perf style really looks best

Pardon my "next level" paint shop skillz lol, rear view shot looks like there's way too much trying to get my attention.

Removing the badges yields something like the "edited" photo. It just really equalizes the rear a bit and becomes a more subtle but strong look.

Don't forget it's all about balance. There are no other CF parts on your car. Add an m perf style front lip and a CF OEM or M2 style mirror caps and it should bring the car together. That's assuming you want to keep it in the first place, will be up to you in the end.

Forgot about the CF or M perf diffuser too. Good addition to the other visual mods.

I'd black out the bottom reflectors and go with a less aggressive spoiler and I think it looks great.

OEM CF Spoiler looks best in my opinion.

Think of it as a tattoo you got when you were drunk. Just be grateful you can get rid of it and no one will ever know.

I've got the same spoiler you've now removed but mine's on a valencia orange model. I have to at it looks totally different. I love mine but I can see your issue with yours.
It's the black on black that's looking wrong.

Thanks for all the replies guys!! I have decided to not install it. I saw the same spoiler on a white car today and it looked much better. The problem is definitely black on black

Some angles it looks really good on like the photo attach, but I just can't get over how big it looks close by directly from the side

It looks good in the photo mostly because you can hardly see it.
I never understand why people insist on messing with a good thing.
In this case, the biggest problem with the looks of the car is that the rear is too high and short.
So don't go and add some large protuberance to it that only makes its greatest flaw more conspicuous.

idk why but for some reason i feel these only look good on a m3/m4. They just dont look right on a 2 series. even a M2. Just something about the proportions

See my last message for the proportion problem.
The other problem appears to be the angle, which, at least from this photo, looks lower on the 4-series.
The spoiler on the 2 that OP showed us points up into the air.

I agree that the best looking one is the oem mperf one. It's definitely expensive, but it fits perfectly and it never looks out of place.

I don't think your car looks bad at all naked without one!

The reason I purchased mine was because I thought it was the m4 style one, little did I know they hVe two variants of these and I accidentally got the high kick one fml

I'm thinking if I was driving around with a bunch of strippers, that's the spoiler I'd want on the back of my car.

Alas, the only stripper ever to ride in my car was a can of paint stripper.

My car came with the inverted version of this and I think it looks...ok. Never been crazy about it but I’d have to agree, the one you’re deciding over may be a bit too much IMO. — just ordered a replacement of this one last night off eBay for not very much $. Also, frequent 303-protectant/sealer treatments ftw with these cheaper off brands as they do get sun beat easily.
