2THIRTY5, I'm just curious, is that a...pink air freshener that I see hanging from your rear view mirror!? A studly New Yorker like you, with a modded, stick shift BMW, and a pink air freshener? I dunno, dude. Where I come from, they'd take your Man Card away for that. Just sayin'. Now fess up. What scent is it? You hung it. You own it. Now let's hear it.

That's the one! Although, I'm not sure it explains everything! Nice looking car, though. I always like the MG and Coral combo. Congrats.

Hey! Definitely go for it! They really add a lot to the rear end!

I see you're in Raleigh, I actually drove my car up from Greensboro! It was a great drive until I got to Virginia

Ohlins Road and Track Coilovers and Vorshlag Camber Plates picked up! Waiting for the Turner Monoball Kit to arrive before making an appointment with my shop to get everything installed.

I've also been filling shopping carts for my next big mod which will be the Pure Stage 2 upgrade. I've had the PS2, B58 HPFP(Gen 1 / HPD5 Evo), and Precision Raceworks Stage 2 LPFP sitting in a box for awhile now.

Summer is looking good!

Updated the OP to reflect the Ohlins on the car, and added a section for Pending Installs for parts I already have vs. Future Plans for parts I haven't bought yet.

Here's some pictures of how the car sits now on Ohlins Road and Track. I've raised the ride height slightly from where it originally sat on the Dinan Springs - this also allows me to run a little less negative camber (-2.2 Front on Dinan vs. -1.7 Front on Ohlins) while maintaining clearance on the 235/40 8.5 ET25 fronts.

Hopefully once things settle down a bit more I'll be able to get the next items installed.

Stop 2THIRTY5! You can only get so awesome!

In all seriousness, tastefully done. My god it is tastefully done. It looks... purposeful, like the car has a calling.

And beautiful.

Seriously, keep up the good work! This is exactly why I signed up with 2Addicts.

Nice build! Just starting on mine; you've definitely given me some ideas/answers as to how some things will look! Enjoy the car!

Also, could you enlighten me on the "Easy Entry Seats" coding... I don't think I've seen that in my Bimmercode app....?

Chris

Nice build! How do you like the Ohlins and camber plates? I am getting billstein b14 and Vorschlog plates done tomorrow on my m240i. Coming from Dinans also. How's the road noise with the plates added?

Thank you thank you! I really wanted to keep the exterior look OEM+ while making my experience behind the wheel as engaging and fulfilling as possible. I do want to make the exterior a tad more aggressive though with a true chassis mounted front splitter, Autoplus Style Diffuser, and potentially an Agency Power CSL Trunk. I'd like it to stick out a little bit more from the plethora of Mineral Grey F22's out there.

I don't think I could ever leave a car stock, so even if I had an OG M2, I'd be going down a similar road.

Haha, I always wanted a picture like that after I've seen a few similar ones. I think I'm going to recreate the distracted boyfriend meme next - stay tuned!

Thanks!

Easy Entry seats refer to the seats sliding back when you turn off the car, and returning to position when you close the door / start the car. Just a nice little convenience when getting in / out.

I think that's what it's called, but I might've made the name up, lol.

I love the Ohlins Road and Track / Vorshlag Camber Plates. I had Dinan Springs / Bumpstops with Vorshlag Camber Plates prior which was good for cruising around on nicer roads, but the stock struts felt underdampened when paired with the Dinan Springs. IE when going over large dips, there was definitely a lot more bounciness / floatiness than I would've liked. Not to mention I was at the mercy of the Dinan Springs when it came to ride height.

There was definitely some clunking as reported from other members with stock struts + camber plates, but now the only noise I hear is what's essentially translated up through the tires.

The Ohlins now soak up road imperfections BEAUTIFULLY, and keep the car feeling super direct and planted.

I actually have two sets of EC-7's, Anthracite for Winter and Silver for Summer. Personally, I don't like black rims on any car because they hide the detail of the rim so much that you can't really tell the style or see the details unless the lighting conditions permit.

The Anthracite definitely makes for a more aggressive look while the Silver is little more classy / clean imo.

Here's some additional Anthracite pics to help your decision?

All I can say is damn those wheels are nice. I know you love the silver and I like them too, but....
and I learned this from my wife when she tries on tops to match her pants, matchy matchy. Maybe she has me brain-washed.
I love this car and you have done such a great job on it. When I am tooling around in my little 230i, I pretend I am in this car. Good job man.

awesome thx for extra pics...gonna grab some Forged ones from APEX group sale.

Agree, and the "Satin"/flat black makes it worse. (and I mean on Mineral Gray, other colors looks great)

I have a damaged rim and was going to repair stock. Any other colors come to mind on mineral gray? Okay, silver is a consideration. What if I went wild with bronze or gold? Gloss black on my gloss black vert (matchy matchy) was awesome. Your thoughts guys.

I would do the APEX black EC-7R if it wasn't "Satin" - Gloss looks pretty good. New Satin Bronze color is awesome, but not sure I'm bold enough at 52 lol. Going Anthracite like above Forged in group buy
