If you'd be willing to do this, there is a an outfit called parcel monkey that gives discounted shipping rates. Basically they give you access to bulk rates through them. That's how big companies ship stuff like this without paying that much. You have to give accurate measurements and weight, but if you do it's fantastic.

If you would do that and see if the shipping was better, I would still be interested if the total cost wasn't too crazy given that I can buy one for $300 or so apparently straight from the company. I'd be happy to buy from you instead.
