Oil Filter question
I am a new owner of a M235I. I got the oil changed the other day and I was told by the mechanic to only use BMW filters. So what is up that? Why not use some other quality filter like WIX.

Bro just use good oil filters, bmw of course is gonna say that because they want you to use their products and pay for them.
Frams all you need good to go

Mann hu816x is OE and the only one I use. Others have an incorrect rubber gasket at the end. It probably works, but why not just get the right one?

Mann, Mahle & Hengst are all good filters for BMW.
