XHP X-Delete Review ($150)

My car always feels sluggish and angry ever since I went to a staggered wheel setup. The size difference is inside the 3% tolerance or whatever you see quoted around the net but it still seemed frustrated and angry so I decided to try the X-Delete software. It makes sense to me with FBO/Stage 2 and staggered rims RWD will be simpler solution for added power delivery.

Install Notes:
-reasonably priced at around $150 USD
-no need to buy the complete flash tool separately
-software is very professional and easy to use, GUI is better than BM3 for sure
-first flash took about 3-4 minutes, ran it with no tender and ignition set to on per app request
-voucher code is short enough you can memorize it and drop it into the app without having to transcribe the information somewhere else first
-F22 only supports on/off modes, so you dont get sport or snow settings advertised on marketing materials (price discount would be nice there)
-turn cell service on to download voucher code and call to activation servers, then turn it off once activated to connect to the car and flash it

On the road impressions:
Cold clear night ambient air around 59f here. Car immediately felt more awake, less friction or resistance present when you tap the throttle. Steering also feel lighter and freer. MPG average rose about 1.5 just joy riding (hard) around DC area for an hour. Onboard power gauges read about the same, I suppose that makes sense as the parasitic loss of AWD would have only affected wheel horsepower and not crank. No drifting or burnouts yet, this is my first RWD car ever.

All in all, whats another $150 to have a light switch to turn your X-Drive off all summer and back on for drag races or snow? Seems like a good product. I may venture into their performance maps for the transmission next.

Thanks for the review, I'm also debating it since I live in FL (what's snow??).

Can you adjust the power delivery to the front in a percentage value? Or is this simply an ON/OFF switch?

My thought is, if i use xi delete, i would need to get a limited slip rear. Otherwise, i'm driving one wheel which i don't like. So, this product with a limited slip, ultimate in choices of drive ability.

This with an LSD added would be magical. It would help with launching in AWD mode, too. Then full RWD experience with X delete.

If I had to have one car for 12 months of the year, this would be very appealing to do!

As others have said, I wouldn't do this to my x drive simply because I don't have a rear LSD, not useful to me anyway 🤷*♂️

Yeah agreed it's frustrating to reduce it down to RWD and be stuck with the E-LSD. More testing to come, Draggy came in today.
