Brake Force Display

Has anyone successfully coded in the flashing brake force display in a 2 series? The option is there in the REM module but it is looking like some expert mode coding is required.

I found out my car (2017 M240i) has it - stock - when me friends pointed it out to me under heavy braking.

It has the secondary brake lights, but I bet they were not FLASHING stock.

yea there is no way at stock they were flashing like what the brake force display code is suppose to implement. Most chassis's seem to have this code work in the main interface in the REM and FEM module but didn't do the trick in my f22.

FEM - Brake Force Display "Flashing"
REM - Expert Mode - 3062 LCE Lamp Mapping 1 - Mapping Brakedforced (L and R) Output - bl-r.

But didn't work for me.

but regarding the above comment, it was definitely the secondary lights that light up indicating heavier braking.

so just to clarify you did all these steps including going into expert mode in the rear module and it still didn't work? I did all the coding the other day on my 2019 m240i xdrive but haven't been able to verify if it worked yet or not. if it didn't, I wonder if there is something else that has to be coded for it to work on the F22 as compared to the F80 M3 in this video. I really want this to work because it looks super cool and I think it helps get the attention of people behind me!

Maybe LCI requires different/more coding ?

i gave these instructions from the picture to a friend who has the same car as me (2015 m235i) and he confirmed it worked for him. still same for me with haven't gotten it to work. I am going to try coding back to "area enlargement" and then trying again.

I just followed the instructions in the video and did everything the exact same as he did. make sure once you make the coding changes in bimmercode that you hit the coding button or else it won't save the changes.

It's the same for the LCI as the pre-LCI, I coded BFD on my new 2018 230i loaner car.. Same parameters as the ones listed..

You must be doing something wrong..

Can you tell me exactly everything and every ecu that needs to be coded please? I will try again.

I did not have the "type" option where you select flashing or area enlargement, but did everything else including expert mode coding of FEM and REM. help?

What are you trying to do exactly, have the main brake lights flash or just the two inner rear fogs, while the main brake lights stay steady?

Under the two folders in FEM folder, if using Bimmercode, change these two parameters below then report back.

The rest of settings is just to adjust the sensitivity.
