Smile Bmw 2 Series Bi-Xenon Retrofit success

Hi guys

Pleased to say that after a monstrous task of loads of research and obtaining all the required parts and fitting them to my 2 series

I have successfully retro fitted the xenon headlights to my car and coded them in myself and they work beautifully with out any problems at all

A full write up will follow up soon

Man! I followed your link thinking there was a write up already!

Please post some details, specifically on the wiring please. My car is in the shop doing this mod as I type.....

Other than the headlights, what do you need for parts?

Could you possibly comment on this F30 DIY if it coincides with exactly what you did on the F22 please?

My installer got my xenons installed and working with hi and low beam. Only thing left is to code out the errors for the adaptive headlights and need to run wires for the halos since there were no lin bus under the under the hood for them. Did you need to run lines for the halos too.? My car is a 2016, what is yours. Wondering if they are wired differently in Europe than the states.

Could you share how you coded out the adaptive headlight error please and any other tidbits to help finish my install

I'm beginning to think this thread is vaporware! Never happened....

My Indy did the Xenon swap for me. I am up and running. Unfortuantely I can't provide you with any details other than wires need to be run from the headlights to the control module in the kick panel of the cockpit. Coding was a bit time consuming, they wouldn't say exactly what was what except that link I posted below was extremely helpful:

He did this install back in February of 2018:

https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1464946

The write up must be at the publisher, proofing for errors. Then, it has to go to print, then binding then distribution.

I'm estimating that you may see this writeup in 2022 if your lucky.

Hi
I'm very new to this forum as well and just wanted to ask you how did you do it
I got a 116d and I bought a new front bumper and the xenon headlights
only bought the front bumper because mine was damaged so had to replace it and this guy sold me them both together

so I want to change my headlights to the xenons but I have no clue how

so I only got the headlights of the guy which included the bulb and the modules

so what other part do I need? for the actual fitting
also I got the bumper with the headlight washer
it is hard to actually make it work?

also the coding do you have it written up somewhere which would save me trying to figure it out myself

Many thanks
Aingaran

i have never done rewiring no did i do any coding on a car before so it will be my first time but if i get it right and if it ends up working ill try and see if i can write something up
ill take some pics while i do it or a video to make things easier

also do you have anything like this for OEM rear parking sensor Retrofit?
got a rear bumper which i need to put on my car and its got the parking sensors on them so thought i might as well try and fit the whole system in so that it works.
